New Year’s Resolution!

Hey guys! Sorry it’s been so long, I just started winter break after a week full of finals, midterms, assessments, and quizzes. Anyway, since it’s almost the new year, I was thinking of writing a new year’s resolution! So, for starters, GOOD GRADES. Like all HIGH A’s, and by all, I mean every. single. class. Try using a calendar or a to-do list to stay organized and on top of your work. I use Structured on my mac, and it’s perfect for making daily to-do lists. For example, I just pull it up during class when my teacher assigns me something and I can even set the time and the duration of the assignment. I like to keep the short assignments to 30 mins, and rmbr, don’t give yourself extra time, try to use every single second of the given time to complete the assignment. Say on average a two page essay takes about 45 minutes, I try to complete it within 15-20 minutes to save time. Oh and for some reason, music always helps me write faster, but not for personal statements 🙂

Next, stop procrastinating. I swear I literally procrastinate so much when it comes to doing assignments or studying for major tests. Although I know how important a test or assignment is, I still tend to wait until the last two (sometimes even a day ahead) to start studying and then I study that subject for like 5 hours. Soo yeah, I should stop procrastinating. And that starts with 2025. I’ll try using Pomodoro timers and using this one app on my iPad called Study Bunny (Flora too!) that tracks how long you study. It’s supposed to motivate you, which I really need this second semester of my junior year.

Third, I’m going to eat super healthy, like cutting down on sugar and all. I usually get a Starbucks drink every week, (it’s a cold brew w/ almond milk and sugar-free syrup) and I live on coffee to help me stay awake, in school and at home. I’m going to try eating salads (although I despise them) and try those healthy recipes on TikTok and Instagram.

Umm aside from these I don’t really have any big ones, maybe like applying to programs ahead of time, writing more, continue reading, oh and staying motivated. I have lost so much motivation especially over the last week because of my midterms and tests. So I guess staying motivated is up there on my list! Anyways, that’s all for today, sorry for the short post! Happy New Year!!!!
